Safety Net

Providing a Strong Safety Net for People in Crisis

We believe providing a strong safety net to members of our community when they need it most is vitally important. Working together we can create a stronger healthier community for everyone.  We are focusing our efforts and investments on helping:

  • Individuals and families overcome crises and meet their basic needs; and

  • Our community transition from one that manages homelessness to one that decreases it

Our Work to Ensure Safety Net Services

  • We participate in a number of partnerships and community conversations focused on disaster coordination, poverty, food security, access to services and transportation challenges facing our residents.

  • We are a member of the Your Way Home Montgomery County Systems Change, a public private partnership to end homelessness in Montgomery County. In addition, we are working with the Siemer Institute for Family Stability to focus efforts on reducing student mobility and enhancing academic success. As part of this work, North Penn School District and Souderton Area School District play a key role in identifying at risk students facing housing instability.

  • We are also involved in establishing 2-1-1, the Health and Human Service Hotline for our region.

  • We help fund programs to advance health across the community.
