Older Adults

Older Adults Live Healthy, Vibrant Lives

Older adults play a vital role in our community for their expertise, cultural models and impact on the economy.  Montgomery County has the largest percentage of 65+ residents among all Pennsylvania counties.  We all win when our 65+ community members can:

  • Live above the Poverty Line/Financial Self-Sufficiency Standard;

  • Report having what they need to engage in activities of daily living; and

  • Remain in their homes with safety, independence and connection.

Our Work with Older Adults

  • We have partnered with the the Montgomery County Asset Building Coalition to offer the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program which provides free tax preparation services to low-income, qualifying residents. CLICK HERE more information.
  • We participate in the Montgomery County’s Dually Eligible Elderly Committee to improve access to older adults who are eligible for both Medicare and Medicaid.

  • We help fund programs to advance income across the community.
