Older Adults Live Healthy, Vibrant Lives
Older adults play a vital role in our community for their expertise, cultural models and impact on the economy. Montgomery County has the largest percentage of 65+ residents among all Pennsylvania counties. We all win when our 65+ community members can:
Live above the Poverty Line/Financial Self-Sufficiency Standard;
Report having what they need to engage in activities of daily living; and
Remain in their homes with safety, independence and connection.
Our Work with Older Adults
- We have partnered with the the Montgomery County Asset Building Coalition to offer the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program which provides free tax preparation services to low-income, qualifying residents. CLICK HERE more information.
We participate in the Montgomery County’s Dually Eligible Elderly Committee to improve access to older adults who are eligible for both Medicare and Medicaid.
We help fund programs to advance income across the community.
