The United Way mobilizes people and organizations that have the passion, expertise and resources to create lasting changes in community conditions.
The first step in changing community conditions is to identify community issues. That’s why the North Penn United Way brought together hundreds of community members - from parents, to business leaders, to educators, to older adults, to local, county and state government officials, to health and human services professionals, to faith leaders and more - and asked them what mattered most to them and on what the North Penn United Way should focus?
The results were clear: help children succeed, help older adults stay strong and active in the community for as long as possible, and provide safety net services to community members in their time of need.
What emerged from continued community conversations was the commitment to support the North Penn United Way in our pursuit of the following three targeted community goals:
